Actve Captve is the post-traumatic pop project of songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Justin Han, blending the grit of alt-rock, the emotional urgency of pop, euphoric synth-wave shimmer, and a punk rock heart. The music thrives on contradiction—raw yet refined, chaotic yet tender, simple yet unexpected. This isn’t music for feeling good—it’s music for feeling everything.
With roots in New York’s underground and California’s DIY scenes, Actve Captve is now based in Austin, where Justin is joined on stage by Cassie Brandi (vocals), Israel Doria (guitar), Carlos Jordan (keys), Michael McMillon (bass), Pedro Scorcese (drums), and Mikey Rupert (guitar). Their live shows swing between intimate resonance and explosive release, always grounded in the project’s core mission: to embrace the mess, spark connection, and transform darkness into something alive.
